As far back as she can remember...Alli remembers watching HGTV, her favorite tv show, and wanting to paint her room a different color. And then she would want to paint it again after the next episode! Her mother was wonderful and let her paint her room as often as she wanted! The respect for her mother's opinion - as well as her Grandmother - came in handy while she was in college. When Alli wavered about continuing her interior design degree, she was reminded by both of them of the days when she loved to rearrange her room and paint her walls. So she stayed with interior design. Alli persisted. She is now an extremely successful interior designer with La-Z-Boy Gulf Coast, right out of college! She already has many clients and has created numerous designs for her clients. A recent design this month features a dining room vignette using her favorite shabby chic colors and farmhouse style furniture. Take a look.... Ready for your dreams to come true?

La-Z-Boy Designer, Mercer Moore, reveals a major clue as to why she is a designer. It's a dance party every time! La-Z-Boy designer (Pensacola), Mercer Moore, doesn't remember a time in her life when she wasn't invoived with art and design. As a young artist, one of her paintings won an award and it hung on the walls of her Congressman's office. She and her sister had a dance party each time they rearranged furniture in the house with their Mother. And we may have missed it, but she probably had a little dance party when she completed her newest room design at the Pensacola location. Take a peek at the full room.... The Alexandria Sofa The Chair Mercer added pattern to the neutral room by using the plaid upholstery on one chair and then "reversing" the same two colors with the rounded pattern in the throw pillow. The chair on the opposite side is upholstered in gray leather, continuing the neutral theme. Accessories Besides having a dance party after she completes a room design, one of Mercer's design signatures is unusual color combinations. In this room she used lime green and gray together, accenting the neutral room with pillows in those colors. And the pattern is very fresh and modern! These pillows are among some of our new, fresh accessories for Spring! The Ottoman Mercer added a fun ottoman that is good looking and super trendy but will work well in most any home! Use it for additional seating or just to make a design statement. Acrylic is strong but gives a light look to any room. La-Z-Boy offers many styles of ottomans, as an ottoman can be versatile and stylish! Acrylic Tables The use of acrylic continues in the base of both the coffee table and side tables. The Hidden Treasures Acrylic coffee table checks the list of both traditional and contemporary decor! Lamps Mercer used a tall glass base with a white shade for the room, continuing the neutral theme. La-Z-Boy offers many styles that work with this decor idea, plus the smaller diagonal base allows for more surface on a side table. Ready to have your own dance party? MERCER MOORE, DESIGNER
LA-Z-BOY PENSACOLA BY LA-Z-BOY GULF COAST "The design team at La-Z-Boy is amazing! The staff of Eastern Shore Art Center is thrilled with the plans for our new reception room for our teaching academy! They truly knocked it out of the park with their plans for an attractive and comfortable space. Now our students will have a happy place to relax while registering for classes. Thank you Alli and Bess at La-Z-Boy for your creativity and professionalism!" Bryant Whelan - Executive Director, Eastern Shore Art Center La-Z-Boy Gulf Coast said YES to the challenge and in-home designer, Alli Sypert, got to work on designing a new reception space. What has been a "catch-all" room at the Eastern Shore Art Center in Fairhope, AL will now be a calm and cheerful place to greet art students as they register for classes. The Barista ChairAlli: I chose the La-Z-Boy Barista chair for its clean and simple transitional design. Its flared arms and tufted back will add a great sense of style to the room. And the fun geometric fabric I chose will make the chairs stand out. They will be the featured accents in the room! The RugAlli: Since the chairs were the accent pieces in the room I opted for a more simple design in the rug but still keeping it fun with an aqua color. It is a hand tufted wool rug with Aqua, Light Gray, Mustard, Beige, Khaki, and Taupe. MirrorsAlli: Mirrors reflect the natural light and brighten the room, and visually expand the small space. The clean lines compliment the geometric pattern on the chairs.
I'll provide photos when the project is installed! |
